Justin Vineyards & Winery Sauvignon Blanc 2018 - $15
This is your inspiring Freshman excited to be away from home for the first time. They are completely broke but have gusto! Bright acidity and well balanced. Pineapple, orange pith, and apricots jump out of the bottle after you throw away the screw cap, because let's be real...you'll finish this bottle in one go. A huge value buy from a reputable winery.
Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc - $50
Merry Edwards is the first Sauvignon Blanc I look for when I'm handed a wine menu. I grew to love it when I was in fine-dining in DC. On the nose, a plethora of tropical notes always attracted me to the wine; white pineapple, ripe passionfruit, mango and guava all twirl around On the palate, harmonious accents of ruby red grapefruit, honeysuckle and melon is cut by crisp, refreshing acidity.
Dagueneau Pouilly Fume Pur Sang 2014 - $100
The complexity of the wine is an understatement. Bring out the notepad and pencil and play detective trying to pinpoint all the clues the wine gives you. Gooseberry, white peach, chamomile, & mineral accents only scratch the surface of what this wine has to offer. To add to the allure of the wine and producer, look up the story of Didier Dagueneau; you won't be disappointed.
